Jacob Collier & Aurora | A Rock Somewhere
Een prachtig nieuw nummer van Jacob Collier… En los van de gekleurde Greenpeace cijfers en de climate change agenda is het zeker een goed idee om diepzee mijnen te sluiten en de zeeën te beschermen. Geniet ervan!
(Jacob Collier) Last month, AURORA and I joined Greenpeace on their expedition to the Arctic, to deepen our understanding of the crisis our planet is facing, and perform an ode to its protection together. When the ship first anchored by the Sveabreen glacier, I was bowled over by its sheer beauty, but also by its deep fragility. We’ve lost two thirds of all the Arctic summer ice in the last forty years. It’s a shadow of its former self – yet it’s not too late for us to help. Our oceans are in crisis. Industrial fishing, oil drilling, warming temperatures and plastic pollution threaten one of the most important ecosystems on earth, which threatens all life as we know it. In order for our oceans to recover and thrive, scientists are telling us we must create a network of global ocean sanctuaries that are off limits to industrial activity. We’re joining Greenpeace in their call for a global ban on deep sea mining and for governments to protect at least 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030.
